It can be easy and also very affordable to add some vintage styling into your Christmas decor. Take a look around your house for inspiration or visit the local thrift store to pick up some low cost additions and give yourself a 'Vintage Little Christmas'!
I found these old books at the thrift store - just a few dollars each - I wasn't concerned so much with the contents but that they were perfectly imperfect and coloured Christmas red and green. I tied them together with some jute string, added a sprig of Christmas greenery and used them to add height to one of my mercury glass look trees. Cheap and vintage.
Next item, two cheap mini candle wreaths from the local dollar store, combined with some candles added to an old set of scales I already owned - gives the vintage kitchen decor that Christmas touch.
I used vintage lions head soup bowls I found at the local thrift store for just $2 each to hold some faux topiary Christmas balls I found at Big W last year and sat them on another set of scales that I had already given a farmhouse makeover - you can read that post here.
Use old vintage bowls or even tureens without the lid to hold Christmas balls, mix and match them with other rustic or ceramic balls you may already have - many everyday decor items can be drafted for Christmas decor duty.
Lovely old window frames look great with a Christmas wreath on them and are oh so vintage. I was lucky enough to find this old church window frame a few years back.
